What's Happening NOW!!

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Placer Valley Sunrise!

On July 1, 2017 the Rotary Clubs of Rocklin/Loomis Basin and Roseville Sunrise merged and became the Rotary Club of Placer Valley Sunrise!  This strategic move was a strong bond between the clubs for the good of Rotary.  The Rotary Club of Rocklin/Loomis Basin was established in 1964  and The Rotary Club of Roseville Sunrise received their charter in 1989.  Both clubs have been serving both the local and international communities for many years. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about Rotary International or our club.

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 34,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to improve education, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

A bold new chapter in the partnership between Rotary and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation aimed at eradicating polio was announced at the Rotary International Convention in Lisbon, Portugal, late last month. The joint effort, called End Polio Now – Make History Today, will support the 2013-18 Polio Eradication and Endgame Strategic Plan.
“The Gates Foundation will match two-to-one, up to US$35 million per year, every dollar Rotary commits to reduce the funding shortfall for polio eradication through 2018,” said Jeff Raikes, the foundation’s chief executive officer, in a prerecorded video address shown during the plenary session on 25 June. “If fully realized, the value of this new partnership with Rotary is more than $500 million. In this way, your contributions to polio will work twice as hard.”
