On Feb 23rd, the Rotary Club of Rocklin/Loomis Basin held their 20th Annual Feast for Rotary Crab Feed.

The event was a near sell out again this year; and the participants left happy and full of their favorite shell fish. The dinner started with green salad and clam chowder; followed by a pasta course; and was completed with all you can eat tiger shrimp and crab.

In addition to the fine food, this event featured a raffle, dessert auction, silent and live auctions. The auctioneers kept the room entertained as many guests walked away with great prizes.

The Feast for Rotary is a major fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Rocklin/Loomis Basin which provides support for local schools and other local and international projects. In addition, this Club is building a garden at Lonetree Park in Rocklin that will teach students and other community members about methods that can be used to build a sustainable garden, as a lawn substitute, thereby reducing water usage and the need for pesticides.
